Green Delta Institute for Climate Studies
Independent think-tank on climate adaptation in deltaic regions.
Green Delta Institute (GDI) was established in 2009 by Prof. Habibur Rahman to bridge the gap between academic climate research and on-the-ground adaptation policy in low-lying deltaic countries.
The institute operates three research clusters, publishes an annual Delta Adaptation Outlook, and runs a fellowship programme for early-career researchers from South and Southeast Asia.
Founder & Chairman
As founder, Prof. Rahman set the institute's research agenda, secured its founding endowment, and continues to chair its Board of Trustees and Scientific Advisory Council.
